Inappropriate Use

The online environment may seem less real to some students, but does not negate extreme seriousness of personal threats. On URHnet, threats sent across the university network will be tracked, and violators will be prosecuted. A threat consists of two or more messages sent to an individual threatening a violation of personal safety which includes but is not limited to: death, physical harm, sexual harassment, hostile environment, and rape. Threats of this kind will be taken seriously: do not do this! Additionally, use caution when allowing another resident to use your computer, and never give another person access to any password-protected account that you own.
