Find Your MAC Address

The simplest way to find your MAC Address is your traffic page: housing.uiuc.edu/traffic
 

However this page only displays the MAC address that you are currently using.  To view the MAC for each of your network devices follow the steps below for your operating system.

Windows Vista
Windows XP

Windows Vista

First click on the Windows Icon, then type in cmd and hit the Enter key. 

In this new window type in getmac and hit Enter.  The Physical Address numbers are the MAC addresses for all your network devices.  The Transport Name information is irrelevant.

 

Windows XP

First click the Start Icon and then navigate to Run in the Start Menu.  In the Run window, type in cmd and hit the Enter key.

In this window simply type in getmac and hit the Enter key.  The Physical Address numbers are the MAC addresses for all your network devices.  The Transport Name information is irrelevant.
