Recommended Computer Systems

The following are our recommendations for getting connected to the internet. Start by picking the operating platform of your choice, either Windows or Macintosh.


Windows Compatible Hardware

  • 1.3 GHz processor or better
  • 512 MB RAM or more
  • 40 GB hard drive or larger
  • Windows XP or Vista
  • 10baseT wired network adapter (required)
    (More information on network adapters available here.)
  • You also have the option of purchasing a wireless network adapter for use around campus. There are wireless access points around campus available for use. To take advantage of these access points, you must have a 802.11b or greater wireless card.
