Welcome to WIMSE! As one of the seven Living/Learning Communities in the University Residence Halls at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, WIMSE is designed to foster community among women who major in traditionally male-dominated fields of study.  Research and our experience in WIMSE have shown that women benefit from a supportive network of fellow students that share similar academic pursuits

Providing 135 women majoring in mathematics, science, and engineering curricula with resources, activities, and programs to enhance their academic and social experiences, our goal is to unite classroom and residential experiences to build a positive foundation for a future career.
