During the summer of 2007, 18 U of I students came together to form the Illini 4000 for Cancer, a student-led non-profit organization dedicated to raising $100,000 for cancer research. For over 72 days these students bicycled from New York City to San Diego California, interacting with cancer patients and survivors, and rallying individuals of all backgrounds to come together in the fight against cancer. Throughout this incredible journey, documentary filmmaker and former Unit One Program Advisor Zachary Herrmann captured these stories in "What People Do." This Thursday, April 17th, Zach is making a special homecoming trip to Allen Hall to share his film with his alma mater. Please join us for this very special screening and discussion with Zach Herrmann.
