Recycling Events

Everyday Recycling
Paper products, including newspapers, phonebooks, student/staff directories, class handouts, reports, letters, etc., can be recycled.  During the fall semester, new phonebooks are distributed. You can discard outdated phonebooks in the paper recycling bin in the trash room on your floor.

Please do not discard tissues, napkins, paper towels, and/or candy wrappers in the paper recycle containers.

Salvage Drive
Every semester you leave the your hall or apartment, for at least a short visit home. Whether you're packing your things to leave for a visit or for a new place next year, you will probably realize that you have more stuff than you are willing to haul around. These items may not be useful to you anymore, but they may be to someone else. The Salvage Drive is a semiannual service that collects useable items that you cannot keep but don't want to throw away. We will take those things off your hands and donate them to a charitable cause.

What to donate:
Food (non-perishable)
Clothing (good condition)
Any and all other USABLE items (such as: hair dryers, notebooks, shower caddies).

These items will be given to local charities to redistribute to those in need. Drop-off areas will typically be in the lobby of your Residence Hall. Look for them at the end of each semester.
