2008 ILLINI GUIDE PROGRAM
The Illini Guide
(I-Guide) program will be
continuing its history and tradition in 2008. The I-Guide
program is one of the longest lasting student run organizations here
at UIUC, and we need YOU to help keep it successful!
SIGN UP TO BE A 2008 I-Guide!!!

Become part of the tradition by signing up for one of the following opportunities:
I-GUIDES
I-Guides in orange shirts are seen on
campus on move-in day helping new students and their families move
in. We hope you will be as excited about being a part of the
I-Guide program as 60 years worth of Illinois students have been.
HALL CHAIRS
Each hall will have 1-2 Hall Chairs who
coordinate the I-Guide process.
Hall Chairs will help coordinate I-Guide responsibilities during
move-in. They participate in a Leadership Training Retreat,
recruit I-Guides, facilitate meetings, meet regularly with the
Residence Hall Director/Hall Manager and their I-Guide Campus
Committee liaison, and prepare the Summer Newsletter for that hall. The Hall Chair position is a great
way to get leadership training and experience. You will meet a lot
of people and have the chance to really make a difference. If
you are interested in being a hall chair, please contact your
Residence Hall Director.
ILLINI GUIDES CAMPUS COMMITTEE (IGCC)
IGCC members
are a team of students who are responsible for coordinating the Illini Guide program. They work with the I-Guide advisors to plan
the training retreat, serve as liaisons to Hall Chairs, and lead a
specific area of campus on opening day by trouble shooting and
supporting Hall Chairs and I-Guides. Selection of
the 2008 IGCC
Members has been completed.
If you have additional questions please e-mail the Illini Guides at
IGuide@admin.housing.uiuc.edu.
Thanks again for showing interest in the Illini Guide Program!
