The C.O.R.E. program is established to help first year students becoming better acclimated to the campus. First year students are paired with upper-class students that provided both academic and social support as students transition into the University culture.
Mentors (upper-class students) assist Mentees (first year students) become acquainted with the University and its resources. In many cases, Mentors and Mentees establish friendships that stretch beyond the C.O.R.E. program and continue for the duration of their college careers. The C.O.R.E. Program sponsors events and activities throughout the year, which address the needs of students.
