With 34 Professional Staff positions in the Department of Residential Life we anticipate several openings from year to year. This year we have the following vacancies confirmed: Multiple Resident Director positions, one Program Coordinator for Social Justice and Leadership Education, one Academic Director of the Unit One Living Learning Community, and one Residential Life Librarian vacancy. We could have 0-2 Area Coordinator vacancies. That search is open but those positions are only anticipated at this time.

Conference Placements

The Oshkosh Placement Exchange (OPE)  Mailbox #2106 (all positions) February 28-March 2, 2008 Oshkosh, WI

Our OPE Recruitment Team had a great time interacting with all the candidates and the OPE Planning Team and Gruenhagen Conference Center Staff always make everyone feel welcome!   

GOING GREEN! We are not handwriting thank you notes to candidates this year in an effort to do our part to "go green". Candidates should not feel obligated to send handwritten notes either their interviewers. We're sending e-notes and will appreciate your willingness to do so too.

 

TPE The Placement Exchange March 6-9, 2008 Boston MA

Our TPE Recruitment Team also had a great time interacting with candidates at TPE. The joint placement between NASPA & ACUHO-I was a big hit and we look forward to Seattle in 09!

Not Attending A Conference? No Problem!

Competitive candidates not attending the above conferences this spring will be extended phone screening interviews. Competitive candidates are those possessing many if not all of our listed "preferred qualifications", having outstanding reference checks, and submitting resumes and cover letters that match the stated needs of our department in the position announcement and job description.

Additionally, the RD (Resident Director), AC (Area Coordinator) and PC (Program Coordinator) positions are all security sensitive positions. All finalists for any vacancies will require a background check and final offers will be contingent upon the results of the background checks. The University ensures that all checks are held in compliance with all federal and state statutes, and campus policy. Information attained from the background check will be kept strictly confidential. Finalists will have the right to request a copy of the report the University will receive.

If hired, you will also need to supply us with academic transcripts from all institutions of higher education which you have attended to document your degree level.
